John, the Balloon Muppets pilot, came to Ballooning at the age of 50 by receiving a trial lesson as a birthday gift, and the rest is history.
The name Balloon Muppets was derived from an instructor who commented every time a mistake was made; he would call the team “muppets”.
When qualified, the name stuck and The Balloon Muppets was created.
Our main special shape balloon is Hyla, which we often take to festivals around the world, but have recently added Master Zaba, Hyla's Nephew to the family of balloons.
